Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Lady Tar Heel

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.. - Wake Forest fired a final round 301 to finish fourth at the Ruth's Chris Lady Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Course on Sunday. Duke posted a 288 on Sunday, the lowest team score of the day, to win the tournament at 2-under 862. South Carolina was second at even-par 864 and NC State finished third at 14-over 878.
Marissa Dodd was Wake Forest's top finisher at 1-under 215 after closing with a 72. She finished tied for fifth in the field. Sierra Sims finished at 2-over 218 and was tied for 15th. Vinh-Hop Ngo tied for 31st at 8-over 224 while Allison Emrey was a shot back at 225 and tied for 35th. Erica Herr finished tied for 64th at 231.
Marianna Sims, playing as an individual, finished tied for 27th at 7-over 223.
The women will be back in action when they travel to Wilmington, NC for the Landfall Tradition on Oct. 24-26.
