HOUSTON - Five current and former members of the Wake Forest field hockey program assisted at the Greg Gephart Field Hockey Clinic for youth hockey this past weekend.
Current freshman Lindsay Graham, alongside former goalkeepers Bronwen Gainsford and Kaitlyn Ruhf, midfielder Claire Lawhon and forward Amanda Janney made up the Demon Deacon contingent at the event.
Janney, who graduated in 1999 and just completed her ninth season as the head coach at Temple University, served as the clinic director for the event. She recently earned her 100th career victory as a head coach in a 3-2 victory over Lafayette on Oct. 27, 2013.
One of the most prolific players between the pipes in Wake Forest history, Ruhf finished her career at the end of the 2012 season with 307 saves in 4,782 minutes spent in goal. She now serves as an assistant coach at Davidson College, working primarily with the goalkeepers and the defense.
Gainsford ('12) and Lawhon ('05) joined their former colleagues for the event.
Graham wrapped up her freshman season in the old gold and black with two goals on seven shots. The Houston native appeared in 20 of the 21 contests in 2013 and made three starts for the Demon Deacons.
