Wake Forest Hosts No. 1 Virginia for Final ACC Series
• Wake Forest returns home to Wake Forest Baseball Park this week to host top-ranked Virginia in a three-game series.
• The Demon Deacons will honor the senior class prior to Friday's game.
• It is the final series of the regular season for both teams.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest scored 11 runs off 11 hits as the Demon Deacons outpaced UNC Asheville 11-6 on Tuesday night at McCormick Field. It was the last non-conference game in the regular season for the Deacs.
• Wake Forest built a 4-0 lead over UNC Asheville (13-36) and continued to add runs late to down the Bulldogs.
Joey Rodriguez tallied two doubles and two RBIs in the game while Charlie Morgan hit his fourth homer of the year. Jimmy Redovian added a two-RBI double in the ninth inning while Evan Stephens, Conor Keniry, Ben Breazeale and Joe Napolitano each had an RBI in the game.
Connor Johnstone got the start and win on the mound, going 5.0 innings, giving up two unearned runs on six hits while striking out four with no walks. Matt Pirro pitched in relief and gave up just one hit in 1.2 innings while Will Craig, Garrett Kelly, Matt Conway and John McCarren also pitched.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest is looking to secure a spot in the ACC Baseball Tournament after missing the tournament last season.
Grant Shambley is 12th in the ACC in batting with an average of .324 while Stephens is batting .299, giving Wake Forest two of the top lead off batters in the conference.
Will Craig is tied for first in the conference in home runs and is now tied for 9th all-time in school history for homers by a freshman.
Evan Stephens is 11th in walks in NCAA Division I while the Deacs are 14th as a team nationally in walks.
• The Demon Deacons are 12-8 in one-run games this season and are 24-0 when leading after eight innings.

The Opposition & Series History
• Virginia enters the three-game series ranked No. 1 in the country by several publications and is No.1 in the RPI.
• Wake Forest has a 84-77 lead in the all-time series over the Cavaliers.
• Virginia has the top ERA of all ACC teams with a collective earned run average of 2.15 and is fourth in the conference in batting with an average of .277.

• Wake Forest will wait and see if the Demon Deacons make the ACC Baseball Tournament next week in Greensboro, N.C. The bids for the tournament will be announced on Sunday.
