Demon Deacons in Summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The collegiate summer baseball season is nearing its end. Here are how the Demon Deacons did this season.

Shenandoah Valley League:
Joey Rodriguez - Staunton Braves: A regular in the outfield for the Braves, Joey Rodriguez was one of the team's most productive offensive players. He hit .355 with two home runs and 22 RBIs. Rodriguez was perfect on the base paths with 20 stolen bases.

Garrett Kelly - New Market Rebels: Garrett Kelly made nine starts this summer for the New Market Rebels, posting a record of 3-2. In 60.2 innings, Kelly struck out 51 batters. Kelly appeared in the Valley League All-Star Game, pitching two innings without giving up a run.

Luke Czajkowski - Harrisonburg Turks: Luke Czajkowski appeared in 31 games for the Turks this summer, batting .304 with a home run and 11 RBIs. The Turks advanced to the Valley League Playoffs and are facing the Covington Lumberjacks in the quarterfinals.

Northwoods League:
Nate Mondou - Wisconsin Woodchucks: Nate Mondou is heating up for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, who still have a few weeks left in their season. Mondou is batting .300 on the season with a home run and 22 RBIs.

Parker Dunshee - Wisconsin Woodchucks: Parker Dunshee is leading the Woodchucks in starts with nine. He has a record of 3-3 and has struck out 33 batters in 38.1 innings.

Will Craig - St. Cloud Rox: After leading the Deacs in home runs in his freshman season, Will Craig has continued to show off his power this summer. He is tied for the team lead with seven home runs. Craig has also thrown 20.2 innings on the mound and has 19 strikeouts.

Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League:
John McCarren - Amsterdam Mohawks: John McCarren had an impressive season for the Mohawks out of the bullpen. He posted a 2.36 ERA in 26.2 innings while striking out 29 batters.

Jonathan Pryor - Amsterdam Mohawks: Jonathan Pryor made 32 starts in the outfield this season for Amsterdam, batting .258 with 24 RBIs. He was also second on the team with 26 walks.

Connor Johnstone - Amsterdam Mohawks: Making eight starts this summer, Connor Johnstone finished the regular season with a record of 3-2. His ERA finished at 3.27, and he only surrendered 13 walks in 41.1 innings. The Mohawks won their division and begin the playoffs this week. Carolina Virginia Collegiate Baseball League:

Kevin Jordan - Kernersville Bulldogs: The Kernersville Bulldogs finished their season on top of the league and earned the top seed in the CVCL tournament. Kevin Jordan has been a key member of the team's strong offense, batting .298 in 42 games. Jordan drove in 21 runs with two home runs and led the team with 28 stolen bases.

Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League:
Zach Piazza - Sag Harbor Whalers: Zach Piazza played in 39 games for the Whalers this summer, batting .247 with 17 RBIs and a home run.

Aaron Smith - Sag Harbor Whalers: Aaron Smith finished tied for the team lead with three home runs, while batting .261 and collecting 15 RBIs. The Whalers tied for first place in the Hamptons League but lost in the first round of the playoffs.

Coastal Plains League:
Parker Johnson - Asheboro Copperheads: Used as both a starter and reliever, Parker Johnson has pitched 35.2 innings in 11 appearances for the Asheboro Copperheads this summer. He has an ERA of 3.19 with 37 strikeouts.

New England Collegiate League:
Aaron Fossas - Plymouth Pilgrims: Aaron Fossas has been a solid starter for the Plymouth Pilgrims this summer with a record of 3-1 in six starts. Fossas has a 2.70 ERA and has thrown two complete games.

Futures Collegiate Baseball League:
Joe Napolitano - Nashua Silver Knights: In 39 games played, Napolitano has driven in 18 runs for the Silver Knights. He is third on the team in doubles with eight this season.

Cal Ripken League:
Chris Farish - Baltimore Redbirds: Chris Farish has made five starts in eight appearances this summer. He has a record of 2-1 and has recorded 20 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.

Ben Breazeale - Baltimore Redbirds: Ben Breazeale has made 24 appearances behind the plate for the Redbirds this summer. He has driven in four runs and drawn 21 walks on the season. The Redbirds will play for the Cal Ripken League Championship later this week.

Cape Cod League:
Max Tishman - Chatham Anglers: In seven starts for the Anglers, Tishman has a record of 2-3. He has recorded 18 strikeouts in 31 innings this season.

Southern Collegiate Baseball League:
Eric Ramsey - Lake Norman Copperheads: The Lake Norman Copperheads won the Southern Collegiate League Championship earlier this week. Eric Ramsey finished his season by playing in 20 games and driving in eight runs.
