
Demon Deacons in Summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -As the summer baseball leagues continue their seasons, here is an update on how some current Demon Deacons are doing.
Shenandoah Valley League:
Joey Rodriguez - Staunton Braves: Rodriguez was named to the All-Star Team of the Shenandoah Valley League after a hot start to the season at the plate. Rodriguez holds a batting average of .366 with 10 RBIs. He has been successful in all 15 of his stolen base attempts.
Garrett Kelly - New Market Rebels: In five starts for the Rebels, Kelly holds a 2-1 record and an ERA of 3.00. He is second on the team with 22 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched. Kelly has been named to the Shenandoah Valley League All-Star Team.
Luke Czajkowski - Harrisonburg Turks: Czajkowski has had a productive season for the Turks. The outfielder is batting .314 in 19 games with nine RBIs and a home run.
Northwoods League:
Nate Mondou - Wisconsin Woodchucks: Mondou has been a regular in the starting lineup for the Woodchucks since arriving. In 35 games he has a batting average of .264 with 12 RBIs and a home run.
Parker Dunshee - Wisconsin Woodchucks: Dunshee has made five starts in six appearances this summer, with a record of 2-1. He has 22 strikeouts in 25.2 innings and has only allowed nine walks.
Will Craig - St. Cloud Rox: Craig has continued to show his power this summer, and is second on the team with four home runs this summer. On the mound, Craig has pitched 10.2 innings and has tallied 12 strikeouts.
Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League:
John McCarren - Amsterdam Mohawks: McCarren has been impressive in relief this summer for the Mohawks, with a 1.20 ERA in nine appearances. He has thrown 15 innings, with 17 strikeouts and only one walk.
Jonathan Pryor - Amsterdam Mohawks: Pryor has made 19 starts in the outfield this summer for Amsterdam and holds a batting average of .289. He is second on the team with 16 RBIs and has stolen seven bases. Pryor was named a PGCBL All-Star.
Connor Johnstone - Amsterdam Mohawks: Johnstone has a record of 1-1 in five starts so far this summer for the Mohawks. He has pitched 23.1 innings with an ERA of 3.86 and 16 strikeouts.
Carolina Virginia Collegiate Baseball League:
Kevin Jordan - Kernersville Bulldogs: Jordan has played in 26 games this summer for the Bulldogs, and has swung the bat well. Jordan is batting .308 with two home runs and 29 RBIs. He has shown off his speed as well, with 19 stolen bases. His hot start has earned him a spot on the CVCBL All-Star Team.
Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League:
Zach Piazza - Sag Harbor Whalers: Piazza has been a regular in the Whalers lineup this summer, playing in 24 of their 25 games. He has been named to the HCBL All-Star Game after compiling a .269 batting average with 14 RBIs.
Aaron Smith - Sag Harbor Whalers: Smith has been the biggest power threat for the Whalers so far this summer, as he leads the team with three home runs. He also has four doubles and 11 RBIs this summer.
Coastal Plains League:
Parker Johnson - Asheboro Copperheads: Parker Johnson has been solid in relief this summer for the Copperheads, posting a 1.93 ERA in eight appearances. Johnson has 24 strikeouts in 18.2 innings of work.
New England Collegiate League:
Aaron Fossas - Plymouth Pilgrims: Fossas has had an excellent summer as a starting pitcher for the Plymouth Pilgrims. In four starts, he holds a 2-0 record with an ERA of 2.08. Fossas pitched one of the most impressive games of the summer on June 28, throwing a complete game shutout and carrying a no-hitter for 8.2 innings.
Futures Collegiate Baseball League:
Joe Napolitano - Nashua Silver Knights: Napolitano has appeared in 25 of the 26 games that the Silver Knights have played this summer. He has driven in 13 runs on the season, with four doubles and a home run.
Cal Ripken League:
Chris Farish - Baltimore Redbirds: Farish has made four appearances for the Redbirds, with a record of 1-1. He has pitched 10.1 innings and has tallied 10 strikeouts this season.
Ben Breazeale - Baltimore Redbirds: Breazeale has made 14 appearances behind the plate for the Redbirds since joining the team. He has drawn 11 walks and has one double on the season.
Cape Cod League:
Max Tishman - Chatham Anglers: Tishman is 2-1 in four starts this summer for the Anglers with an ERA of 2.14. He has 11 strikeouts and two walks in 21 innings of work.
Southern Collegiate Baseball League:
Eric Ramsey - Lake Norman Copperheads: Ramsey has played in 13 games this summer for the Copperheads and has a batting average of .258. He has driven in four runs and hit two doubles on the season.
