Bill Haas Wins The Humana Challenge

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Wake Forest Hall of Famer Bill Haas won the Humana Challenge in La Quinta, Calif. on Sunday. It is his second win at Humana and his sixth win on the PGA Tour.
Haas entered Sunday's final round tied for first place. He stayed at the top of the field all day before a birdie on 16 moved in to 22-under and broke a six-way tie for the lead. Haas escaped with a par on 18 for a one-stroke victory. Finished the tournament with a 22-under 266 (67-63-69-67).
Haas also won the Humana Challenge in 2010, his first PGA victory. With the win he moved up to ninth in the FedEx Cup Standings.
Fellow Deacon Webb Simpson finished tied for seventh, two strokes back of the lead. Simpson is 27th in the FedEx Cup Standings.
