Wake Forest Tournament History
• Wake Forest has played in the Tar Heel Invitational in every year since its inception in 1983.
• Wake has won the team title four times and has recorded a total of 16 top-5 finishes.
• Natalie Sheary and Jean Chua shared medalist honors in 2008.
• Cheyenne Woods shot three under-par rounds at the event in 2011 to finish tied for fifth.
• Woods holds the lowest round by a Demon Deacon at the Finley Golf Course with an opening round 68 in 2011.
• Last year Wake Forest finished fourth at the event led by a fifth-place finish by Marissa Dodd.
Wake Forest Notes
• Wake Forest opened the season with a sixth-place finish at the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C. Junior Sierra Sims tied for fifth to finish in the top five of the event for the second-consecutive season.
• Sophomore Erica Herr opened the season with a top-20 finish. She tied for 17th after posting rounds of 71-73-76.
• Wake Forest finished fourth at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
• Freshman Jennifer Kupcho carded rounds of 71-73-75 to finish eighth at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
