Wake Forest fell to No. 74 William and Mary on Friday by a score of 4-3. After a tough loss to the Tribe, the Deacons bounced back with wins over #65 Furman and UNCG.

Karen Forman became the 34th player in team history to reach 100 career combined singles and doubles wins with her 6-1, 6-0 singles win over UNCG on Saturday.
Next up on the list for Forman are two former teammates of hers, Ryann Cutillo II sits in 33rd place with 103 wins and Kathryn Talbert holds 32nd place with 104 wins.
Tennisrecruiting.net came out this week with its winter rankings of recruiting classes for fall 2015. Wake Forest's class of signees Emma Davis and Anna Ulyashchenko was voted the No. 7 in the country. It is the highest ranking in program history, surpassing the class of 2013 being recognized as the 8th best class.
Junior Xue Zhang has flourished in her move from the sixth seed to the second seed this year. Zhang is 3-1 on the season while playing on court two.
Freshman Courtney Meredith has gotten her Wake Forest career off to a good start and has a team-best 14-1 singles record since the fall.
Overall, in dual match singles play this year, the Demon Deacons are 29-7 including a perfect 5-0 at both No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
The ITA Shortened Format >>
This format is in effect for NCAA matches before teams head into their conference portion of their schedule.
There is no-ad scoring in singles and doubles.
Three doubles matches will be played, each match one set to six, with a tie-break at six-all.
Followed (after a five-minute intermission) by six singles matches, each match two out of three sets, with tie-breaks at six-all.
There are no warm-up with opponents in doubles and in singles.

The VCU Rams have an impressive 6-1 record heading into their matchup against the Demon Deacons.
For VCU, this is will be only their second match against a ranked opponent this season, losing their only match 6-1 against No. 6 Virginia.
Elon has played four matches, with three of them against ranked opponents. They lost to No. 4 Florida and No. 61 Georgia State at the ITA Kick-off last weekend.
