
Demon Deacons Finish Qualifying of Cary Challenger

CARY, N.C. – Though the two Wake Forest men's tennis players participating in the Cary Challenger dropped qualifying matches on Monday afternoon, Keivon Tabrizi has earned a lucky loser spot into the tournament's main draw, which is set to start on Tuesday.
Tabrizi, the No. 6-seed in the draw, fell 6-4, 6-3 to No. 3-seed Damon Gooch of South Africa in the first match of the day on Court 16. Though Tabrizi lost the match, his lucky loser spot has him taking on No. 7-seed Dennis Novikov of the United States in the first round on Tuesday.
On Grandstand, Jon Ho dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to No. 7-seed Ronnie Schneider, who plays collegiately at North Carolina.
