The Demon Deacons lead the conference with seven weekly honors this campaign.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following a perfect rivalry weekend on the road, Wake Forest men's tennis senior DK Suresh Ekambaram has been named ACC Co-Player of the Week, while freshman Mees Rottgering earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
The awards come after the No. 1 Demon Deacons recorded back-to-back 4-0 sweeps over North Carolina and Duke to remain unbeaten in ACC play and firmly atop the conference standings.
This marks Suresh's first Player of the Week honor this season and Rottgering's fourth Freshman of the Week accolade, continuing Wake Forest's conference-leading total of weekly honors in 2026.

Suresh played a pivotal role in both victories, delivering clutch performances in singles and doubles across the weekend.
Against North Carolina, the senior secured the match-clinching point in a ranked battle on court one, taking down No. 54 Roan Jones in straight sets (7-6[3], 6-3) to complete the 4-0 sweep.
He also helped set the tone in doubles, teaming with Andrew Delgado for a dominant 6-0 win over the No. 20-ranked pair of Jones/Wright to help secure the opening point.
On Sunday at Duke, Suresh competed in another high-level matchup on court one, battling in a tightly contested first set tiebreak before the match went unfinished with Wake Forest in control.
Across the weekend, Suresh contributed to two doubles victories and delivered a ranked singles win while anchoring the top of the lineup for the top-ranked team in the nation.

Rottgering continued his standout freshman campaign with another undefeated weekend, making key contributions in both singles and doubles.
In Chapel Hill, the Dutchman earned a straight-set victory on court two, defeating Chris Xu (6-3, 6-3) for his fifth-consecutive singles win and helping push the Deacs to the brink of the sweep.
He followed that performance with another strong showing against Duke, claiming the first set on court two before the match went unfinished as Wake Forest clinched the victory.
In doubles, Rottgering partnered with Kacper Szymkowiak to go a perfect 2-0 on the weekend, clinching the doubles point in both matches. The duo secured a 6-2 win over North Carolina and followed it with a 7-5 comeback victory against Duke to remain unbeaten together.
