Four Deacs Rated as MLB Draft Prospects

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Four Demon Deacons were featured as top draft prospects by D1Baseball this week, including three for the 2016 MLB Draft.

The reigning ACC Player of the Year, Will Craig was rated as the No. 53 college prospect heading into the season.

He was followed by Parker Dunshee, ranked as the No. 115 prospect, and Nate Mondou, who was projected No. 206.

Additionally, sophomore Stuart Fairchild was tabbed as the No. 43 prospect in the ranking of 2017 draft candidates.

Wake Forest recently checked in at No. 39 in Perfect Game's rankings of teams from 26-40. The Demon Deacons finished last year with a 27-26 overall record and 12-18 mark in league action, and open the 2016 campaign with a home tournament from Feb. 19-21.
