ACC Releases Baseball Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its 2016 baseball preseason poll, with Wake Forest being picked to finish sixth in the Atlantic Division by the league head coaches.
The five teams picked ahead of the Demon Deacons all made the NCAA Tournament a year ago, including regional winners Louisville and Florida State.
Louisville was a unanimous pick to win both the Atlantic Division and overall title. Miami received 13 of the 14 votes to win the Coastal Division.
In the Atlantic, Louisville led the way with 98 points, followed by Florida State (74), NC State (72), Notre Dame (50), Clemson (46), Wake Forest (35) and Boston College (17).
The Demon Deacons finished last year with a 27-26 overall record and 12-18 mark in league action. Wake Forest opens the 2016 campaign with a home tournament from Feb. 19-21, with games slated against Georgetown, UMBC and VMI.
