#DeacsInMadrid: Wake Forest Men's Soccer Takes On Spain
About the trip: From March 4 through March 13, Wake Forest men's soccer will travel through Spain over spring break, getting the adventure of a lifetime while being fully immersed in the Spanish soccer scene. During its time in Spain, the Demon Deacons will have the chance to see three professional soccer games and players, including Real Madrid C.F. with Christiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and many other of the sport's greats, before going to Barcelona to see F.C. Barcelona, Lionel Messi and others. At the same time, the team will get a crash course education in Spanish history and culture while touring each city extensively. To cap it off, the Deacs will have the chance to play three matches against trialist teams from Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and UE Cornella.

With competition in the books, the Deacs started Friday with a stretch and jog on the beach in Barcelona before playing soccer volleyball for light entertainment. After lunch and a bit of time to relax, the team departed for Camp Nou to tour the stadium and go to the FC Barcelona museum. Following the tour, the Deacs had time for dinner around Las Ramblas before calling it a night.

On the final day in Spain, the Demon Deacons will start with a tour of Sagrada Familia in town and will head for a picnic in Park Guell before going to back to Camp Nou for FC Barcelona against Getafe CF. After the game, the Deacs will have dinner by the beach with the team's ISL Futbol tour guides for the week.
