Deacs Fall to JMU 2-0 in Exhibition

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest field hockey team suffered a 2-0 defeat to James Madison in an exhibition Friday night at Kentner Stadium. The game was the Demon Deacons' lone preseason game this season.
The teams played a scoreless first half, with JMU having an 11-5 edge in shots. The Dukes took a 2-0 lead over the first 10 minutes of the second half with unassisted goals from Sarah Floeter and Lisa Lajeune. James Madison held a 15-7 edge in shots for the contest.
The Demon Deacons open the regular season on Saturday, Aug. 27 as they host Iowa in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Game time at Kentner Stadium is 11:30 a.m.
