
Demon Deacons to Run at Adidas Cross Country Challenge

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest cross country team heads to Cary, North Carolina for the Adidas Cross Country Challenge on Friday, Sept. 16. The men's race, a 6k, will begin at 5:35 p.m. with the women running a 5k at 6:05 p.m.
The Deacs will be one of 14 Division I teams in attendance and will race against ACC foes Florida State, NC State, North Carolina and Virginia. Live results of the meet can be found HERE.
Wake Forest will send four sophomores, one junior and three seniors on the men's side while the women will race two freshmen, two sophomores, one junior and one senior. Lineups for each team can be seen below.
Both teams opened the 2016 season two weeks ago by sending a limited roster to the Charlotte Preview. Freshman Alex Turner paced the men's team, finishing 10th overall in a time of 16:20.9 while fellow freshman Kathryn Kenwood led the women with a seventh-place finish (18:55.7).
