Asch, Fernandez and Guerin Named Team Captains

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest head women's tennis coach Jeff Wyshner announced that the team's three seniors, Samantha Asch, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin, will serve as the team captains in 2017.

The trio of Demon Deacons entered their final season of competition with over 170 career singles victories and more than 160 doubles wins, combined. Guerin has twice been named All-ACC and Guerin and Fernandez have accounted for three All-ACC Academic Team awards.

Wake Forest opened the spring season on Monday, Jan. 16, with a pair of 7-0 victories over College of Charleston and Winthrop. Asch, Fernandez and Guerin combined to go a perfect 8-0 on the day to lead the Deacs.
