DEACS LOOK FOR SEASON SWEEP VS. EAGLES
• Wake Forest looks for its fifth road win of the season (second in ACC play) as it visits BC
• With a victory, the Deacs would sweep a season series from an opponent for the first time since 2011-12 (Boston College)
• The Eagles are the first Wake Forest opponent in 16 games to enter the contest with a losing record (Coastal Carolina)
SERIES HISTORY
• Boston College leads the series 12-8 (BC leads 6-2 in Boston and 5-2 at the Conte Forum)
• The Demon Deacons have won the last two meetings, both in Winston-Salem
• Wake Forest won this year's first meeting 79-66 on Jan. 3 at the LJVM Coliseum
• The Deacs' last win in Chestnut Hill was a 71-56 victory in 2012
LAST TIME OUT
• Wake Forest suffered an 85-83 loss to No. 17 Duke as the Blue Devils ended the game on a 14-2 run to deny the Deacs their first ranked win of the season
• Bryant Crawford had a career-high 26 points, including 15-15 from the line, the 3rd-best FT performance in school history and best since 1970
• John Collins had 20 points, his fourth-straight 20-point game
THE FIRST MEETING
• Wake Forest downed Boston College 79-66 on Jan. 3 in Winston-Salem
• John Collins led the Deacs with 17 points
• Bryant Crawford had seven assists to go with 11 points
• After the Eagles took a lead early in the second half, the Demon Deacons went on a 22-5 run to seize control of the game and held a double-digit lead the rest of the contest
• The Deacs held the Eagles to 24.0 percent shooting in the second half
20 FOR NO. 20
• John Collins enters tonight's game with four straight 20-point games, the longest streak by a Deac in ACC play since Jeff Teague's four-game streak to start conference play in 2008-09
• His five 20-point games in ACC play are the most by a Demon Deacon in a season since Codi Miller-McIntyre had six in 2014-15
• If he has a 20-point game at Boston College, he would be the first Deac with a five-game streak of 20-point games in ACC play since Justin Gray had a five-game streak in 2003-04
UP NEXT
• The Demon Deacons return home Saturday to host Georgia Tech
• Tipoff at the LJVM Coliseum is 3 p.m. and the game will air on RSN
• It will be the only meeting of the season between the Demon Deacons and Yellow Jackets
