CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team continued competition at the ITA Carolina Regionals in Chapel Hill on Saturday.
After winning her first three matches, Eliza Omirou was eliminated from the Singles Main draw by North Carolina's Alexa Graham, 7-5, 6-3.
In the Consolation Singles draw, Anna Ulyashchenko, Emma Davis and Chandler Carter each won their first match of the day to advance to the quarterfinals. Ulyashchenko ousted South Carolina's Silvia Chinellato, 6-4, 6-1. Davis took care of Clemson's Sydney Riley, 6-2, 6-2. Carter took down Coastal Carolina's Sara Bondar, 6-3, 6-1.
Ulyashchenko was the only Deac to win her second match, as she battled to defeat East Carolina's Lisa Hofbauer, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8). Both Davis and Carter were eliminated in third-set tiebreakers.
Up next, Ulyashchenko will battle Clemson's Tate Schroeder for the right to advance to the Consolation Singles final.
