Deacs Set for a Pair of ACC Matches
• The Demon Deacons open up the weekend at home on Friday, March 17 as they take on No. 34 Notre Dame. The Deacs will then travel to Virginia Tech for a match on Sunday, March 19.
• Last season Wake Forest traveled to South Bend, Ind. where the Deacs earned a 4-3 victory over Notre Dame.
• The Demon Deacons played the Hokies at home last season which resulted in a 5-2 win for the Deacs.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest traveled to Florida to take on Florida State and No. 44 Miami. The Deacs split the weekend as they won 4-2 over the Seminoles and lost 4-0 to the Hurricanes.
• The Demon Deacons got off to an early lead by clinching the doubles point against Florida State. The duo of Chandler Carter and Kimmy Guerin won 6-1 and Alexis Franco and Courtney Meredith earned a 6-2 victory. The Deacs were able to hold off Florida State in singles thanks to victories from Guerin, Joanna Zalewski and Luisa Fernandez.
• Wake Forest was unable to earn a victory in singles play against Miami. Guerin, Emma Davis, Zalewski and Fernandez were all defeated. Carter and Meredith were unable to finish their games as the match was called.
Deacs Undefeated at Home
• The Demon Deacons remain a perfect 6-0 at home this season. The Deacs are looking to extend their win streak to seven tomorrow against Notre Dame.
Deacs in the Rankings
• The ITA released its updated rankings on March 14. The Deacs earned the No. 23 spot. The Demon Deacons were previously ranked No. 34 in the nation.
• Kimmy Guerin is ranked the No. 50 player in the nation by the ITA. She opened the season ranked No. 33 in the country, the highest ranked Deacon since Martina Pavelec was No. 24 on March 29, 2011.
The Captains
• Wake Forest's three seniors - Samantha Asch, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin - are serving as the team captains in 2017.

• Wake Forest returns home to take on N.C. State and East Carolina in a pair of dual matches on March 26. First serve is set for 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively
