WICHITA, Kan. – Wake Forest senior Ben Breazeale was named a semifinalist for the 2017 Johnny Bench Award by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission on Wednesday evening.
The award, presented by BaseballSavings.com, is given to the top collegiate catcher in the nation.
Breazeale is one of 15 semifinalists up for the honor, including one of two from the ACC. He's joined by Georgia Tech's Joey Bart.
A three-time member of the watch list for the award, Breazeale becomes a semifinalist for the first time.
