No. 13 Wake Forest's Regional Pairings Announced

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The NCAA announced the 2017 Division I Baseball Championship selections on Monday, including the other three teams heading to the Winston-Salem Regional hosted by No. 13 Wake Forest at David F. Couch Ballpark this weekend.
In addition to the top-seeded Demon Deacons (39-18), the regional will include No. 2 seed West Virginia (34-24), No. 3 seed Maryland (37-21) and No. 4 seed UMBC (23-23).
Wake Forest will begin play against UMBC on Friday night at 7 p.m., following the opening-round game between West Virginia and Maryland at 2 p.m.
Saturday's games are also set for 2 p.m. (loser's bracket) and 7 p.m. (winner's bracket). The teams with 1-1 records will square off on Sunday at noon, and the winner of that game playing the undefeated team at 5 p.m. Sunday.
If necessary, Monday's winner-take-all game would be played at 7 p.m.
The Winston-Salem Regional is paired with the Gainesville Regional. The winners of those two regionals will play in a Super Regional the following weekend. In addition to No. 3 national seed Florida, the Gainesville regional features South Florida, Bethune-Cookman and Marist.
All games will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
