Emilia Migliaccio holds 36-hole lead in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's golf team climbed the leaderboard Saturday at the Tar Heel Invitational. The Demon Deacons shot 1-under, tied for the low round of the day, to move up to fourth place at even par after 36 holes.
Wake Forest was one of just two teams to shoot under par during the second round. Duke leads the tournament at 15-under, followed by Virginia at 7-under, Arkansas at 4-under and the Demon Deacons at even par.
Emilia Migliaccio is the tournament's 36-hole individual leader at 9-under after a second round 68. She finished her round with back-to-back birdies has 10 birdies to just one bogey through two rounds. She will take a three-shot lead into Sunday's final round.
Siyun Liu was also under par during the second round, shooting a 71. Vanessa Knecht shot her collegiate best with a 1-over 73 on Saturday, while Jennifer Kupcho rounded out the scoring four with a 75.
The Tar Heel Invitational concludes Sunday at the Finley Golf Course.
