Wake Forest picked 14th in ACC preseason poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wake Forest was selected 14th in the preseason poll of media attending Wednesday's ACC Operation Basketball, the conference's annual preseason media event. Head Coach Danny Manning, junior guard Brandon Childress and sophomore guard Chaundee Brown represented the Demon Deacons at the event, where they spent the day doing interviews and photo shoots with local, regional and national media at the Spectrum Center, site of this year's ACC Tournament.
In the preseason poll, Wake Forest freshman forward Jaylen Hoard received three votes for Preseason ACC Freshman of the Year and one vote for Preseason ACC Player of the Year.
Wake Forest opens the 2018-19 season on Nov. 2 as it hosts Belmont Abbey in an exhibition contest. The regular season starts on Nov. 10, as the Demon Deacons host North Carolina A&T.
