DEACS OPEN PLAY IN MYRTLE BEACH INVITATIONAL AGAINST SAINT JOSEPH'S
• Wake Forest will play the first ever game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational, facing Saint Joseph's in the first quarterfinal of the inaugural tournament
• The Deacs are playing at the HTC Center for the second straight year, having posted an 84-80 road win at Coastal Carolina last December
• Wake is looking to open a season 2-0 for the fourth time in the five years of the Danny Manning era
SERIES HISTORY
• Saint Joseph's leads the all-time series 12-5 (Wake Forest leads 3-2 at neutral sites)
• The last meeting was the Hawks' 84-80 victory over the Deacs in the Sweet 16 of the 2004 NCAA Tournament in East Rutherford, N.J.
• The teams last played in the regular season in 1982-83 when Wake Forest downed Saint Joseph's 88-65 at the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden

• This year marks Wake Forest's first appearance at the Myrtle Beach Invitational

• Wake Forest will play either UCF or Cal State Fullerton on Friday in either the semifinals or consolation bracket
