Field Hockey to Face Iowa in First Round of NCAA Tournament

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. Wake Forest field hockey (11-9) earned a bid into the 2018 NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. The Deacons are set to face Iowa (14-6) in the first round of play on Friday, Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m. in Durham, N.C.
Wake Forest opened the season against Iowa in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, where the Hawkeyes earned the 2-1 victory.
The Deacons defeated No. 12 Louisville and No. 3 Duke in the ACC Tournament before dropping to top-ranked North Carolina in the championship game. The Hawkeyes are also coming off a runner-up finish in the Big Ten Tournament after falling to Maryland, 2-1.
