
Emma Davis Falls in ITA Fall Championships

SURPRISE, ARIZ. – 16th-ranked Emma Davis represented Wake Forest at the 2018 ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis Complex. She fell to 12-seed and No. 70 Andie Daniell of Alabama, 6-2, 6-3 in the first round on Wednesday.
Davis earned a bid in the National Fall Championships as she advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships earlier in October. She was the first Wake Forest women's player to reach the quarterfinals of the main draw in the Fall Championship since Bea Belik in 2001.
The Deacons concluded the fall season and will resume play in January as they host College of Charleston and Liberty on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019.
