The Matchup
• Wake Forest women's tennis opens the 2019 season with a double-header, welcoming College of Charleston and Liberty to the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Sat. Jan. 19.
• First serve against the Cougars is set for 9 a.m., followed by a 2 p.m. match against the Liberty Flames.
Meet the Deacs
• Wake Forest is led by three seniors, and this years' captains, Emma Davis, Anna Ulyashchenko and Joanna Zalewski.
• Chandler Carter, Alexis Franco and MC Meredith return for their junior seasons, alongside lone sophomore Eliza Omirou.

Season in Review
• The Deacs finished the 2018 season with a 20-14 overall record and 5-9 mark in ACC play.
• The program's 20 wins were the most since the 2002 season.
• The Deacons advanced to the second round of the of the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2007.
• Wake Forest won the Ohio State ITA Kick-Off Regional Championship to advance to the TA National Indoor Team Championships for the first time since the qualifying format went into effect in 2009.
• Emma Davis earned a top-25 ranking (25) to become the first Wake Forest women's player to do so since 2011. Davis was also named First Team All-ACC.
• Eliza Omirou had the ninth best freshman season in program history after stringing together 49 combined wins in singles and doubles.
Scouting the Cougars
• Wake Forest looks to remain undefeated against the Cougars, winning all eight of the contests.
• College of Charleston will face Wake Forest in its second match of a four-match road trip.
• Head coach Angelo Anastapoulo enters his 28th season at the helm of the Cougars and led last year's squad to a 17-11 record.

• Liberty opens its 2019 season against Wake Forest on Saturday.
