THE MATCHUP
• Wake Forest volleyball returns to Reynolds Gym for its final home contests of the season.
• The Deacs will face Miami on Friday, Nov. 9 and will cap the weekend against Louisville on Sunday, Nov. 11 for Senior Day as Katie Moore and Hailey McFadden will be recognized.
• First serve on Friday against the Hurricanes is set for 6:30 p.m. and Sunday's match against Louisville is slated for 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Deacons fell to NC State in five sets and UNC in three sets last weekend on the road.
• Wake Forest looks to snap a six-match losing skid this weekend.
QUICK HITS
• Head Coach Bill Ferguson returns for his third season at the helm of the program.
• The Demon Deacons return 14 players from last year's squad, led by seniors Hailey Brooke McFadden and Katie Moore, and welcome five freshmen to the club.
• Junior Caroline Rassenfoss is the team's returning kill leader as she tallied 271 kills last season.
• 2018 will mark the first season for Wake Forest Volleyball in the newly renovated Reynolds Gymnasium. Reynolds has been home for the Deacons since 1971. The team spent the previous two seasons in the LJVM Coliseum while the renovations were underway.
• Sophomores lead the way in three categories- Madeline Holt with 918 assists, Olivia Saunders with 79 total blocks and Caroline Kuhn with 23 service aces.
• Holt ranks seventh in the ACC in assists per set with 9.27.
SCOUTING THE CANES
• Miami enters the matchup at 13-8 overall and 9-5 in ACC contests.
• The Canes lead the conference with 1.51 aces per set, paced by redshirt senior Haley Templeton with 30 aces.
• Kolby Bird and Elizaveta Lukianova lead the Hurricanes with 243 kills each, while Emily Damon leads with 245 digs.
• Bridget Wallenberger paces the Canes defensively with 91 blocks on the season.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
• Louisville makes the trip to Winston-Salem with a 18-7 overall record and 11-3 conference mark.
• The Cardinals split last weekend, defeating Miami in four sets before falling to Florida State in four.
• Louisville ranks third in the ACC with a .262 hitting percentage. It ranks second in assists with 13.14 per set.
• Setter Wilma Rivera leads the league in assists with 1050 total and 11.17 per set.
LOOKING AHEAD
• The Deacons hit the road for their final matches of the season, facing Clemson on Friday, Nov. 16 and capping the year at Syracuse on Saturday, Nov. 24.
