Deacs Continue Play in California

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The Wake Forest women's golf team continued its first event of the spring with the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Monday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Demon Deacons shot a 17-over during round two to move up to 16th place at 43-over.
For the second consecutive day, Jennifer Kupcho led the Deacs. Her 3-over 74 was Monday's low round for the team as she is T-17th at 4-over through two rounds. Emilia Migliaccio is at 7-over for the tournament after a second round 75.
Siyun Liu and Mai Dechathipat each shot 76 on Monday, ending the day at 13-over and 19-over, respectively. Monica Schumacher rounded out the lineup by shooting a 78 in the second round.
The tournament, which features 12 of the top 25 teams in the nation, will conclude Tuesday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
