The Matchups:
• The No. 10 Demon Deacons return home for a doubleheader this Sunday, March 11.
• First, the Deacs welcome Winthrop at 10 a.m. before they conclude the day by hosting Liberty at 4 p.m.
Last Time Out:
• Wake Forest finished with a 2-1 record in three home matches last weekend.
• After falling to No. 2 Duke, 7-0, on Friday, March 2, the Demon Deacons rebounded with a Sunday doubleheader sweep over No. 30 Virginia Tech and Elon.
• The win over the Hokies gave Wake Forest its first ACC win of the season. It also served as the team's fifth win this season over a ranked opponent.
Deacs in the Rankings:
• After a 10-4 start to the season, the Demon Deacons have soared up the national rankings.
• In the ITA's weekly poll, the Demon Deacons moved back up to No. 10 after a 2-1 weekend.
• Wake Forest has two players in the top 100 of the ITA's singles rankings. Junior Emma Davis has moved all the way up to No. 36, while Eliza Omirou comes in at No. 88.
• Davis was previously ranked No. 33, which was the highest national ranking for a Demon Deacon since 2011.
• The duo of Emma Davis and Chandler Carter sits at No. 31 while Anna Ulyashchenko and Eliza Omirou have reappeared in the rankings at No. 66.
The Opponents:
• Winthrop is off to a 7-2 start to the season, including a 2-0 mark in the Big South.
• The Eagles feature Lauren Proctor, who is No. 23 in the ITA's singles rankings.
• Liberty sits at 6-5 on the season and has yet to play a conference match. The Flames are on a two-match win streak after defeating UNCG and North Carolina A&T in a doubleheader last Saturday, March 3.
Up Next:
• Wake Forest will take to the road to continue ACC action, starting on Friday, March 16 with a 4 p.m. match at Pittsburgh. The Deacs will conclude the two-match road trip with an 11 a.m. match at Syracue on Sunday, March 18.
