
Wake Forest in 5th After ACC First Round

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's golf team opened play Saturday at the 2018 ACC Championship with the first round on the East Course of the Grandover Resort. The Demon Deacons shot 9-over to finish the first day in fifth place.
Duke is the first round leader at 6-under, followed by Clemson at 2-under. Florida State is third at 3-over, Miami is fourth at 8-over, one shot ahead of Wake Forest.
Jennifer Kupcho led Wake Forest on Saturday, shooting even par 72 in the first round. She is tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard.
Emilia Migliaccio is tied for 12th place after a 1-over round of 73. Siyun Liu and Mai Dechathipat each posted a 4-over round of 76 to round out the scoring four for the Demon Deacons.
The ACC Championship continues Sunday and concludes Monday at the Grandover Resort. ACC Network Extra will have coverage of the final two rounds beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday and 1 p.m. on Monday.
