
Wake Forest Climbs to Fourth at ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's golf team continued play Sunday at the 2018 ACC Championship with the second round on the East Course of the Grandover Resort. The Demon Deacons shot 5-over to climb one spot to fourth place at 14-over for the tournament.
Duke is the only team under par for the tournament, leading at 13-under. Florida State is second at 4-over and Clemson is third at 7-over, while the Demon Deacons are fourth at 14-over after 36 holes.
"The team played better today and it was great to see Jennifer and Mai shoot under par," said head coach Dianne Dailey. "We have a chance to move up tomorrow with solid and balanced scoring from everyone. The conditions will be challenging, but we have played in them before and have been successful."
Jennifer Kupcho ended the day tied for fourth place on the individual leaderboard at 2-under after second round 70 She was joined under par on Sunday by Mai Dechathipat, who carded a 71 to finish the day at 3-over.
Emilia Migliaccio is at 4-over for the tournament after a 75 on Sunday. Siyun Liu shot 77 and Monica Schumacher shot 79 to round out the Wake Forest lineup.
The ACC Championship continues concludes Monday at the Grandover Resort. ACC Network Extra will have coverage beginning at 1 p.m.
