
Wake Forest Finishes 5th at ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's golf team concluded play Monday at the 2018 ACC Championship with the final round on the East Course of the Grandover Resort. The Demon Deacons shot 12-over in rainy conditions to finish the tournament in fifth place at 26-over.
Duke posted a 27-shot victory, posting a score of 15-under to win the team title. Florida State was second at 12-over, Clemson was third at 13-over and Virginia was fourth at 21-over.
Jennifer Kupcho posted her third consecutive top-five finish at the ACC Championship, finishing T-5th after runner-up finishes as a freshman and sophomore. She shot a final round 74 to finish the tournament at even par.
Emilia Migliaccio also shot a final round 74, ending the tournament T-20th at 6-over. Mai Dechathipat finished T-25th at 8-over after a final round 77. Siyun Liu finished at 12-over after shooting a final round 75. Monica Schumacher rounded out the lineup with a final round 81.
The Demon Deacons will now await the announcement of the NCAA Regionals on Wednesday. The regionals will be held May 7-9.
