Liu and Migliaccio Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A pair of Wake Forest women's golfers were named to the 2018 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team on Thursday (June 21). Sophomore Siyun Liu and freshman Emilia Migliaccio each were honored by the league for the first time in their career.
Migliaccio earned was the 2018 ACC Freshman of the Year after posting a 71.79 stroke average, the third-best in Demon Deacon history. The 2018 second-team All-American had six top-10 finishes during her rookie season, including a victory at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate.
Liu, who played her first season for the Demon Deacons after transferring from Illinois, ranked third on the team with a 74.18 stroke average. She had her best finish of the season, T-8th, at the Ocean Course Invitational at Kiawah Island.
In addition to on-course success, to be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
