The Matchup
• The top-ranked Demon Deacons continue ACC play on Friday night with a trip to Clemson at 8 p.m.
• Friday's game will air live on RSN. This includes Fox Sports Southeast (Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Charlotte, Asheville) and Fox Sports South (Raleigh/Durham, Wilmington, Greenville).

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest earned its first come-from-behind victory of the season at No. 16 Virginia Tech on Friday, erasing a 1-0 halftime deficit with goals from Bruno Lapa and Omir Fernandez in the final 25 minutes.
• Fernandez repeated as the ACC Offensive Player of the Week. He has scored five goals over the last four games, including game-winners in each of the last three games.
Aristotle Zarris and Justin McMaster earned assists on Wake Forest's two goals.

Quick Kicks
• Wake Forest was ranked No. 5 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll and moved up to No. 1 in the first weekly poll. The Deacs have been ranked in the top five in 25 consecutive polls dating back to the middle of the 2016 season - 21 more weeks than any other program (Michigan State - 4).
• The Deacs are once again one of the top teams in the country. Wake Forest is one of just three teams in Division I to remain unbeaten and untied (Rhode Island, Saint Mary's), and is second in the country with 20 goals (26 - Saint Mary's).
• Wake Forest has a lot of new faces after sending seven into the MLS ranks following the 2017 season. Still, the Deacs brought in the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, headlined by top-50 recruits Isaiah Parente, Kyle Holcomb, Koby Carr and Aristotle Zarris.
• Since the start of the Bobby Muuss era in 2015, Wake Forest has a 62-8-7 overall record. That win total is the most of any Division I program.
• Wake Forest is unbeaten in its last 11 road contests dating back to September 2016, including wins in each of the last eight.

Opponent & Series History
• Wake Forest holds a slight edge in the all-time series, 21-18-7, including wins in the last three meetings.
• The Demon Deacons haven't earned a road win since 2009, though, going 0-2-2 in the four meetings since then. Clemson has a 10-7-2 advantage when playing at home. This is the first time since 2014 that one of the teams have not been ranked in the top 10, snapping a streak of five-straight meetings.
• Clemson has a 4-2-1 overall record and is coming off a 5-2 win over Furman on Tuesday. The Tigers dropped their ACC-opener at Boston College, 3-2.
• Clemson's 12 goals have been recorded by eight different goal-scorers. Adrian Nunez (three) and Tanner Dieterich (two) are the only Tigers to find the back of the net multiple times.

Up Next
• The Demon Deacons return home for three-straight games, beginning with a 7 p.m. Tuesday game vs. Davidson.
