Deacs in Fifth After Mason Rudolph First Round

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Wake Forest women's golf team opened play Friday at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Demon Deacons shot even par during the first round at the Vanderbilt Legends Club to finish the day in fifth place.
"We put ourselves in position to move the leaderboard tomorrow," said head coach Kim Lewellen. "We had some very good rounds today and look forward to watching these student-athletes play tomorrow."
Three Demon Deacons shot under par during the first round. Siyun Liu is T-2nd on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 5-under 67. Emilia Migliaccio is T-5th after a 3-under 69 and Jennifer Kupcho is T-18th after a 1-under 71. Letizia Bagnoli and Vanessa Knecht rounded out the lineup by each shooting a first round 81.
The Mason Rudolph Championship continues Saturday and concludes Sunday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
