Demon Deacons Set to Start ACC Play in Coral Gables

Wake Forest is scheduled to tipoff conference play on Sunday afternoon against No. 24 Miami (FL) on ACC Network
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team is set to begin ACC play on Sunday afternoon at No. 24 Miami (FL).
The Demon Deacons (7-4) coming into conference play on a three-game winning streak and winners of four of the last five games. Three of the last four wins have come by double digits.
Reigning Co-ACC Player of the Week Beatrice Mompremier leads the Hurricanes (8-3) into the first ACC games of the season. Thru 11 games this season, Mompremier is averaging a double-double with 17.1 points and 10.5 rebounds.
Tipoff for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes is scheduled for 2 p.m. (ET) in Watsco Center. The game can also be seen on ACC Network.

- Sparked by a 16-0 run in the third quarter it helped Wake Forest take a 59-51 lead with 3:29 left in the quarter. From that point, the Demon Deacons led the rest of the way to capture its third consecutive victory.
- Gina Conti helped seal the victory when she stole the ball with 1:28 left in the game. She raced down to the other end for a layup to make it 71-66 with less than 90 seconds remaining in the game.
