The Matchup
• The 33rd-ranked Wake Forest women's tennis team travels to Montgomery, Ala., to take part in the annual Blue Gray National Tennis Classic, starting on Friday, Feb. 22.
• The Deacons are the third-seed in the eight team field and will face Yale in the opening round at 9 a.m. on Friday.
• The winner of the Wake Forest vs. Yale match will take on the winner of Alabama and two-seed Illinois.

• Wake Forest is led by three seniors, captains Emma Davis, Anna Ulyashchenko and Joanna Zalewski.
• Chandler Carter, Alexis Franco and MC Meredith return for their junior seasons, alongside lone sophomore Eliza Omirou.
• Wake Forest welcomes three freshman to the squad in Anna Brylin, Peyton Pesavento and Saby Nihalani
2018 Season in Review
• The Deacs finished the 2018 season with a 20-14 overall record and 5-9 mark in ACC play.
• The program's 20 wins were the most since the 2002 season.
• The Deacons advanced to the second round of the of the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2007.
• Wake Forest won the Ohio State ITA Kick-Off Regional Championship to advance to the ITA National Indoor Team Championships for the first time since 2009.
• Emma Davis earned a top-25 ranking (25) to become the first Wake Forest women's player to do so since 2011. Davis was also named First Team All-ACC.
• Eliza Omirou had the ninth best freshman season in program history after stringing together 49 combined wins in singles and doubles.

• Senior Emma Davis is the reigning ACC Co-Player of the Week, after picking up several wins over ranked opponents last weekend.
• She is just four singles wins away from reaching 100 career-wins and would be the first player since 2002 to reach the milestone.
Scouting the Bulldogs
• Yale is coming off a pair of wins over Harvard (4-3) and Dartmouth (4-1) in the ECAC Indoor Championships.
• Samantha Martinelli leads the Bulldogs on court one with a 123 ITA ranking.
• Doubles tandem Jessie Gong and Martinelli are tied for 52nd in the doubles team rankings.
