Deacs Move Up to Fifth at Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Wake Forest women's golf team continued play Monday at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge with the tournament's second round. The Demon Deacons shot 8-over during the second day at the Palos Verdes Golf Club and moved up to fifth place at 24-over through 36 holes.
In an event that features 11 of the top 20 teams in the nation, the No. 14 Demon Deacons trail only No. 13 Stanford (6-over), No. 12 UCLA (12-over), No. 2 Texas (18-over) and No. 1 USC (19-over).
Senior Jennifer Kupcho has the low round of the day for the Deacs, posting a 1-under 70. She is T-9th on the individual leaderboard at 3-over for the tournament. Letizia Bagnoli is also in the individual top 10, T-6th at 2-over after a second-round 75.
Emilia Migliaccio shot a second round 73 and Siyun Liu had a second round 74 to round out the scoring four for Wake Forest on Monday.
