Wake Forest to Host FIH Field Hockey Match

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest University has been selected to host an international field hockey match between Team USA and Netherlands on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., at Kentner Stadium. The contest will be the inaugural match of the FIH Pro League for the U.S. Women's National Team.
Team USA enters the match ranked No. 12, while Netherlands tops the rankings claiming the No. 1 position as the reigning World and European champions. The Netherlands opened its season on Jan. 27 with a 1-0 victory over sixth-ranked New Zealand.
Over 20 venues across 11 nations will play host to 144 international matches, providing a global spread of world-class hockey, across multiple time-zones, from January to June in a competition that is very much seen a genuine game-changer for hockey.
Fans will be able to see local players from around North Carolina that are members of Team USA, as several ACC teams will be represented.
