WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest track and field heads to nearby High Point, N.C. for the annual High Point Vertklasse meet at Vert Stadium. At last year's competition, the Deacs earned four event titles and nine top-five finishes.

Thirty-six Demon Deacons are set to compete, including 18 on the women's side and 18 for the men . The Deacs will face competition from over 20 schools, including North Carolina, Duke, Charlotte, High Point, Elon, UNCG, N.C. A&T, Gardner-Webb, Campbell and East Tennessee State.

Action will begin tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. with the first leg (100m hurdles) of the women's heptathlon. The men's decathlon kicks off at 2:30 p.m. with the 100m dash for the first leg. On Friday, field events get underway at 10:00 a.m. with the men's discus and high jump. On the track, the 800m leg of the heptathlon begins at 2:15 p.m. The meet closes out on Saturday with events on the track and in the field kicking off at 9:00 a.m.

After this weekend, Wake Forest will prepare for the Raleigh Relays at N.C. State University, held March 29-30. Events will take place at the Paul H. Derr Track.
