• Wake Forest hits the road for eight-straight games, beginning with a trip to Duke and the Durham Bulls Athletic Park this weekend on ACC Network Extra.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons picked up their third-straight victory with a 14-6 win over Charlotte on Tuesday. The Deacs scored four runs in the first inning, five in the second and two in the third to jump out to an 11-0 lead.
• Out of the leadoff spot, freshman Michael Turconi went 3-for-4 with a double, walk and four runs scored. Brendan Tinsman and Cole McNamee each hit home runs, while Michael Ludowig drove in a season-high three runs.
• The Deacs drew a total of nine walks, including two each from Jake Mueller and Shane Muntz. Wake Forest has drawn 146 walks this year, second-most in the country.

• The Demon Deacon offense has picked up significantly since the calender turned to March. In the 13 games this month, Wake Forest is hitting .316 as a team with 30 doubles and 19 home runs, averaging 9.3 runs per game. Patrick Frick and Michael Turconi are both hitting better than .400 this month, while Chris Lanzilli is hitting .370 with five homers and 24 RBIs.
• Wake Forest's weekend pitching rotation has been solid early in the year. Colin Peluse, Jared Shuster and Morgan McSweeney each have ERAs under 3.80 with opponent batting averages under .250. Shuster is currently 4-0 with 44 strikeouts in 29.0 innings.
