Deacs Extend Lead at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The No. 12 Wake Forest women's golf team extended its lead at the Bryan National Collegiate on Saturday. The Demon Deacons shot 6-under during the second round at the Bryan Park Champions Course to post a score of 20-under and hold a 16-shot lead through 36 holes.
The Deacs' round of 282 tied the lowest second round score in the tournament's 22-year history. Duke in 2004 and Alabama in 2017 also shot 282 during the second round. Only two other teams are under par after the second round, with NC State in second place at 4-under and North Carolina in third place at 1-under.
Two Demon Deacons, Jennifer Kupcho and Emilia Migliaccio, share the 36-hole individual lead at 8-under. Kupcho shot 4-under 68 on Saturday for the second straight day, while Migliaccio had a 3-under 69.
Siyun Liu shot even par 72 in the second round to remain at 1-under for the tournament. Letizia Bagnoli and Vanessa Knecht both shot 73 to round out the lineup. Bagnoli is 3-under for the tournament, while Knecht is 2-over.
The Bryan National Collegiate concludes Sunday at Bryan Park. Admission is free.
