• Wake Forest closes out its eight-game road swing on Tuesday, traveling to App State at 5 p.m.
Last Time Out
• No. 10 Louisville clinched a three-game sweep over the Demon Deacons in Kentucky, winning by scores of 6-1, 10-7, and 5-4.
• Bobby Seymour led the offensive attack over the weekend, finishing the trip 6-for-13 (.462) with three RBIs. He increased his season average to .356, second-highest on the team.
Wake Forest Storylines
• The back end of Wake Forest's bullpen has been impressive as of late. William Fleming and Antonio Menendez both have ERAs below 3.00. That duo has combined to allow one run over the last 21.0 innings; Menendez has conceded one run over four outings covering 8.2 innings, while Fleming has tossed seven-straight scoreless apperances over 12.1 innings, allowing just four hits and two walks in that span.
• Patrick Frick ranks second in the ACC with a .379 batting average to go along with six doubles, three homers, 28 RBIs and six stolen bases. Chris Lanzilli leads the league with 14 doubles and 35 RBIs, also totaling a .320 average and seven longballs.
Opponent & Series History
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against App State by a 44-14 margin. The Demon Deacons have won seven-straight meetings against the Mountaineers, including a 5-4 decision in Winston-Salem on March 12. In that game, which head coach Tom Walter missed due to illness, Michael Turconi delivered a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Bobby Hearn and William Fleming combined for 3.0 hitless innings in relief to preserve the win.
• App State enters with an 11-15 overall record and is coming off a home series loss to Texas State. Luke Drumheller leads the Mountaineers with a .409 average, 10 doubles and 27 RBIs.
