Lee Detmer Earns Status on Canadian Tour

COURTENDAY, B.C. – Wake Forest senior Lee Detmer earned status on the PGA Mackenzie Tour with a T-11th finish at the Canadian tour's Q-School event this week. Detmer shot 69-69-71-71 to finish 8-under over 72 holes at Crown Isle Resort and become one of 14 players to earn a tour card for the 2019 season.
Detmer will play on the Mackenzie Tour this year after the conclusion of his senior season with the Demon Deacons. The tour features 12 events throughout Canada from late May through mid-September.
Detmer and the Demon Deacons begin NCAA play at the NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional, held May 13-15 at TPC Myrtle Beach. The top five teams at the event will advance to the NCAA Championship, held May 24-29 in Fayetteville, Ark.
