Demon Deacons Look to Defend Home Court on Thursday

Wake Forest has won its last four games inside of LJVM Coliseum while holding opponents to just 34.7 percent from the field
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team returns to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night as it takes on Virginia.
The Demon Deacons (10-6, 3-2 ACC) have won three of their four games since the start of the New Year including a pair of home ACC contests. Over that span, Ivana Raca is averaging 18.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. She is also knocking down 43.8 percent of her shots from behind the arc.
The Cavaliers (7-9, 2-3 ACC) swept the conference awards this week as Jocelyn Willoughby won Player of the Week and Shemera Williams took home Freshman of the Week honors. Williams was also honored as the USWBA as the National Freshman of the Week after averaging 13.0 points and 5.0 steals in wins over Duke and Boston College.
Tipoff for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) in LJVM Coliseum. The game can also be seen on ACCNX.

The friendly confines of LJVM Coliseum have proved to be a tough place for opposing offenses during those four games. The Deacs' opponents are shooting just 34.7 percent from the field and Wake Forest is outscoring its opponents by 15.2 points per game.
