
Demon Deacons Look to Bounce Back Sunday Against Syracuse

Wake Forest will be in search of its second win in series history and first since 2015
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team will look to bounce back against Syracuse on Sunday afternoon in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Demon Deacons (11-8, 4-4 ACC) nearly came back from 21 points down in the third quarter to defeat No. 14 Florida State on Thursday. Ivana Raca played a huge role in the comeback effort, pouring in 14 of her career-high 27 points in the third quarter alone. She is now averaging 17.1 points per game, which ranks fifth in the ACC.
The Orange (9-9, 3-4 ACC) enter the matchup just a half game back of the Deacs in the conference standings. Syracuse is led by redshirt junior guard Kiara Lewis. She is averaging 17.7 points per game, 5.3 assists per game and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Tipoff for Sunday's game against the Orange is scheduled for 4 p.m. (ET) in LJVM Coliseum. The game can also be seen on ACCNX.

BRINK OF HISTORY
After becoming the sixth member of the 800-rebound club in program history on Thursday, senior Alex Sharp will look to add herself to another prestigious list on Sunday. She also needs just 20 points to join the 1000-point club. The Melbourne, Australia native would be the 27th Deacon member of the 1000-point club.
Sharp would be the fifth player coached by Jen Hoover to join the 1000-point club and the fifth player in program history to have 1000-plus points and 800-plus rebounds in a career.
Her 810 career rebounds are 32nd on the Division I career active leaders list.

Before the Wake Forest women's basketball team goes up against Syracuse at 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Wake Forest men's basketball team will play the reigning NCAA Champion, Virginia, at noon in LJVM Coliseum.
Fans are welcome to stay inside the Joel between games, however, if you choose to leave, your men's ticket will grant you admittance for the women's game.
