
Wake Forest set to Travel to Pittsburgh for Midweek Contest

The Demon Deacons have won their last eight games against unranked opponents entering Thursday
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team is set to travel to Pittsburgh for a midweek matchup Thursday in Petersen Events Center.
The Demon Deacons (12-8, 5-4 ACC) come into the road tilt riding an eight-game win streak against unranked opponents. In those games, Wake is outscoring its opponents by 9.4 points per game. The Deacs are 5-0 in ACC play against unranked foes.
The Panthers (3-16, 0-12 ACC) starting five features four guards who all averaged 9.3 points or better this season. Freshman Amber Brown is putting up a near double-double average of 9.7 points and 8.6 rebounds while graduate Aysia Bugg averages 2.3 three-point field goals a game.
Tipoff for Thursday's game against the Panthers is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) in Pittsburgh. The game can also be seen on ACCNX.

BRINK OF HISTORY
After becoming the sixth member of the 800-rebound club in program history last week, senior Alex Sharp will look to add herself to another prestigious list on Thursday. After a team-high 16 points against Syracuse, she needs just four points to join the 1000-point club. The Melbourne, Australia native would be the 27th Deacon member of the 1000-point club.
Sharp would be the fifth player coached by Jen Hoover to join the 1000-point club and the fifth player in program history to have 1000-plus points and 800-plus rebounds in a career.
Her 817 career rebounds are 32nd on the Division I career active leaders list.
AMONG THE NATION'S ELITE
With a back-to-back seven-assist games, Gina Conti now has 107 assists on the season and is averaging 5.4 assists per game.
The Grove City, Ohio native ranks 17th in the nation in total assists and 22nd in the country in assists per game.
She enters the Pittsburgh game needing just two assists to tie Alice Neal (1986-89) for eighth on the program's all-time assist list with 340 career assists.
