Demon Deacons Look to Extend Win Streak on Thursday

Wake Forest is set to host Clemson Thursday night in LJVM Coliseum

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team look to extend its winning streak to three games when it hosts Clemson Thursday night in Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum.
 
The Demon Deacons (9-5, 2-1 ACC) have won five of their last six contests including back-to-back in ACC play. Sophomore Christina Morra is coming off a career-high 18-point performance in Sunday's victory over Georgia Tech. She has been in double figures in the last two games while knocking down 10-of-13 free throw attempts.
 
The Tigers (5-9, 1-2 ACC) ended Notre Dame's 58-game ACC home winning streak last week, defeating the Fighting Irish, 71-55. Redshirt junior Kendall Spray led Clemson to its first conference win of the season, knocking down eight threes en route to a career-high 24 points.

Tipoff for Thursday's game against the Tigers is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) in LVJM Coliseum. The game can also be seen on ACCNX.

Over the last six games, the Demon Deacons have grabbed five wins with the help of strong numbers on the defensive side of the floor. Wake Forest has limited opponents to a 37.5 field goal percentage and a 30.2 percentage from behind the arc.
 
On the offensive side of the floor, Christina Morra has picked up her game, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and averaging 11.3 points per game.
