Students, alumni and all of Demon Deacon Nation have been challenged to virtually sell out Joel Coliseum for the Deacs’ season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 25 as a part of Mako Medical Wake Forest Classic.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – With the calendar turned to November, it's time to support new men's basketball coach Steve Forbes and the Deacs' men's basketball team for the Mako Medical Wake Forest Classic (Nov. 25-27). Deacon Nation has been challenged to tip off this new era of Wake Forest Basketball with a sell out at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, virtually.
With exact fan attendance limitations unknown at this time under North Carolina's Phase III guidance and in the continued effort to provide the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina, Wake Forest Athletics has announced this unique initiative to allow all of Deacon Nation to show support for Coach Steve Forbes and the men's basketball program for their season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Wake Forest Athletics will continue to work to demonstrate its ability to safely host player families, students and fans in home venues. Additional information forthcoming on this event.
This initiative is designed to provide fans with the opportunity to help show their support for the Deacs through the purchase of a virtual seat, row, or section. Fans who participate in the program will receive a variety of exclusive virtual experiences and prizes.
Virtual tickets will be available until the Deacs tipoff on Nov. 25.
All proceeds from the initiative will go to help Sustain the Deacs and continue to provide a World Class Student-Athlete Experience for Wake Forest's 400-plus student-athletes. With that, virtual seat purchases do not count as donations to the Deacon Club.
Virtual tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting GoDeacs.com/VirtualSellout.
